i have an MSL2024 connected to the san by an NSR i am getting write error from data protector and i think that the problem is the NSR so can i replace this NCR by a fiber drive?
so i connect the fiber drive directly to the san switch

Re: MSL2024 with NSR
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13258_div/13258_div.HTML
Connectors Mini-SAS (located on back of MSL SAS model only)
68-pin HDTS (located on back of MSL SCSI models only)
LC Optical Fibre (located on back of MSL FC models only)
Hence only replacing the drive may not be sufficient here.

Re: MSL2024 with NSR
I have confirmed now that the connectors (SAS/FC/SCSI ) is part of hot pluggable drives in MSL
As mentioned by Torsten, replacing a drive with FC interface is possible & you access it via SAN.
