MSL4048 & VMware Infrastructure client problem

Hi

i have a problem.I connect my ESX and MSL4048 both with fibre to a SAN Switch.in ESX i run windows server 2003,but from here I cannot see MSL.
what must i do?
i just see this :

but i cannot Add Storage.how can i work with MSL from VI Client?
anyway,just tell me how can i work with MSL through vmware infrastructure client?

Looks like the tape drives are available on vmhba3:2:0 + vmhba3:3:0 and the robotic on vmhba3:3:1.

"Add Storage" is used to create a new VMFS datastore on a disk device.

Last time I checked, Fibre Channel tape (and robotic) devices are not supported [even parallel-SCSI attached ones have many restrictions], but some people managed to get them working by adding them as generic scsi-passthrough devices to a VM.

thanks for your attention and help.but when I add SCSI device the power on of it is grey and disable.how can i work with this SCSI?
maybe MSL4048 has been any special configuration that i don't know?

my problem soled.I must just install drivers after I add SCSI device.
it is OK now.
