Well first thing to do is to make sure its not running any backup jobs. once the jobs have finished running then the library has stopped.
What are you wanting to do with the library?

Re: MSL4048 stop and start procedure through HPE Command view MSL
Hello,
Thank you for your replay.
we are going to shutdown the Data Center. so i need to shutdown all the servers during the activity. so i need to do shutdown tapelibrary server remotly after backup server shutdown.
after login to the " HPE command view " there is no option to shutdown, so i need to know the procedure for remote shutdown insted of manual shutdown.
Thank you.

SolutionIIRC you can only reboot from remote, for shutdown and start press the power button.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: MSL4048 stop and start procedure through HPE Command view MSL
The MSL4048 is powerfail safe at all times, even during motion. Tape drives should not be power cycled when a tape is loaded but are power safe when the drives aren't reading/writing.
When a remote power down will occur the recommended procedure is to make certain that all of the tape drives are unloaded and the library is idle then pull the power.
