Hello there,
we have a MSL6030 with 2 LTO2s normally connected to a standard fc 8port switch.
I want to connect the library directly to the backup server, but it seems not to be working. HBAnyware says Connection Bypassed.
The FC controller on the server is an Emulex LP950
is anyone aware of configurations to be done?
Thank You in advance

Hello Luca,
I believe you will have to reconfigure the NSR card in the MSL.
It is usually pretty simple if you already have an IP setting on it
Please take a look at:
http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00637161/c00637161.pdf
This will get you started on the configuration, most likely you want to set up the FC port on a "loop configuration" for this, set the port mode on "N_PORT" and make sure to enable and set HARD AL_PA.
More information can be found at the EBS Design Guide page 34 http://www.hp.com/go/ebs
