MSL6000 + freebsd + mtx
Hi,
i connected a MSL6600 over SCSI to a FreeBSD host. Channel 0 is connected to 3 drives and Channel 1 to the libraryinterfacecard.
My problem is the access to the changer-device. chio/mtx status give proper output as they are intend to do.
But if i try to move a tape I get errors:
########
~]# chio move portal 0 slot 0
chio: /dev/ch0: CHIOMOVE: Input/output error
########
In this case Portal0 contains a tape.
mtx give more output, but doesn't change tapes either:
########
~]# mtx transfer 1 2
mtx: Request Sense: Long Report=yes
mtx: Request Sense: Valid Residual=no
mtx: Request Sense: Error Code=0 (Unknown?!)
mtx: Request Sense: Sense Key=No Sense
mtx: Request Sense: FileMark=no
mtx: Request Sense: EOM=no
mtx: Request Sense: ILI=no
mtx: Request Sense: Additional Sense Code = 00
mtx: Request Sense: Additional Sense Qualifier = 00
mtx: Request Sense: BPV=no
mtx: Request Sense: Error in CDB=no
mtx: Request Sense: SKSV=no
MOVE MEDIUM from Element Address 32 to 33 Failed
########
(Slot 1 is filled, Slot 2 is empty)
Is there any way to actually use the autochanger ?

Re: MSL6000 + freebsd + mtx
Changing media using the webinterface works fine - but still not with mtx or chio.
