Sorry. Must have misread something when I posted that...
A7965A is: HP StorageWorks 3U Rack-mount kit with one SDLT 600 (Carbon)
so no it wouldn't go into an MSL6000.
According to the QuickSpecs for the library, the part number that you'd need for a compatible SDLT600 drive is AD589B.
