No compression with Ultrium 448 and Veritas
I am using the storageworks ultrium 448 external tape drive with the latest Veritas backup exec on a win server 2003 machine. I have enabled hardware compression. I am using LTO2 media, but can not get more than 200gb before being asked to load new media. When I run L&TT, all the tests pass (including compression), but the info for my drive says "drive technology : LTO". However product spec says it is an LTO2 drive. Which is it, or what am I doing wrong?

Re: No compression with Ultrium 448 and Veritas
Need to choose Hardware compression only, no software compression also use
Veritas Drivers.
