NTBackup reports tape inconsistancy
I have been running backups on my server via an LTO Ultrium tape drive for months now with no issues. As of last Friday I have been getting the error below.
Backup Status
Operation: Backup
Active backup destination: LTO Ultrium
Media name: "Media created 2/4/2009 at 2:30 PM"
An inconsistency was encountered on the media in LTO Ultrium. Do not append to this media.
I have tried a lot of suggestions and generic attempts to get a differential backup to work. Full backups work manually or automated.
Any ideas?

Re: NTBackup reports tape inconsistancy
Some of the things tried were mainly using new media, rebooting the server and tape drive. None of these worked..
Last thing tried was updating the driver for the tape drive. I noticed the driver it had was from 2003, the new driver is from 2007. This resolved the problem.
