Replaced LTO1 Drive with new LTO1 Drive

We just replaced our original LTO1 drive with another LTO1 drive. The new drive shows up in the device manager, LTT scan tells me I have the latest drivers, Backup Exec also sees the new drive. When I put a tape in the drive, none of these programs seem to see that there is a tape loaded, then I cannot get the tape out. I ran a Stuck tape test and it tells me that there isn't a tape in the drive. Please Help????

Might be a sensor problem. What do you know of the history of the replacement drive?

If you can pull and attach the LTT support ticket we might be able to find out more about what's going wrong.
It's more interesting when it's gone wrong
