Replacement for Compaq DLT 8000 on ML 350 G3
Hi,
i was running Compaq DLT 8000 tape drive on a HP Proliant ML 350 G3, windows 2000 SP4 and ARCserver Backup 2000 Workgroup Edition.
a week ago, the tape drive failed !!!
now, i want to replace that tape with another one.
I wonder if any LTO drive can run on ML 350 G3 server. if so, what SCSI adaoter i can use?

Dear Patrice,
You should consider switching to Ultrium tape. I would purchase LTO-3 or 3 half-height parallel SCSI drive. I would install a separate Ultra320 SCSI HBA for the tape dirve. If you have any internal bays left you may chose to purchase the half-height LTO-3 or LTO-4 internal models.

Hello Harris,
i have a trouble with the exact reference of the HBA to use as from the tape and the server quickspecks, i don"t see scsi card that match the server and the tape drive.
can you recommand a Specific SCSI Card?
Patrice
