when i start a redirected restore i get

It restore 287 object and the eject the tape ??

What version of Data Protector Expres are you running? (Go to Help, About to find out)

What OS are you running?

And finally what tape drive are you using?

If it is a USB tape drive on Windows 2000 then there is a know problem with Windows 2000 losing connection to the tape drive.
