SAS Autoloader 1/8 where not detected in DP 5.5

Hi everyone,

we are using following configuration:
- HP Proliant DL380 G6 OS: WinSrv 2003
- HP SAS G2 Autoloader 1/8
- HP Smart Array P212 Controller
- HP Data Protector 5.5

When i take a look into the device manager the Medium Changer (autloader), smart-array controller, tape-drive (LTO Ultrium-3 drive)are detected and allready installed. Also the DiskAgent 5.5, MediaAgent 5.5 and UserInterface 5.5 are installed.

But when i try to install the device from our cellserver i got error message that no device is detected on the server where the library is attached to. By the way, we have other servers with scsi-autoloader installations which are working properly.

When i run HP Storage Works Library and Tape Tools it detects no device. Devbra -dev result is also empty.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Installing the Windows Storport hot-fix from MS would enable LTT to detect the device.

KB916048 -> for non-sp2 systems
KB945119 -> for sp2 systems
