SMTP notifications

We currently use DP5.50 for one of our tape backup systems, however, we wish to use SMTP email for error notifications.

Although this feature was not available in the original product, I have installed the latest patches (DPWIN_00395) in which, Change Request:QXCR1000419414 states that the SMTP email function has been added.

I have modified the appropriate SMTP entry in the global file, but I still do not have the option to send by email(SMTP) in my notification send methods.

Am I missing something? Is there another config file to modify?

I've searched the forums but to no avail - help!!

I ought to add that I did install all the updated patches and dependencies for this product not just the above patch in isolation.
