tagged overlapped commands (scsi error)

Hello

Part-way through writing a LTO-5 tape I get this scsi error and writing aborts:

st0: Sense Key : Aborted Command [current]

st0: Add. Sense: Tagged overlapped commands (task tag 0)

This is repeatable, it happens with every tape, it happens with multiple kernel versions, it happens with multiple drives, it happens with different device drivers, so I'm stumped!

Any ideas?

System is ubuntu-12.04-server x64 via adaptec-1405 SAS

Re: tagged overlapped commands (scsi error)

It appears to be a compatibility issue. Check the attachment to see the supported OS platforms.

Visit the following links for more information on interoperability between HBA, OS, Backup software and Tape drive firmware:

Also, refer to StoreEver Tape Drives section from page 13 onwards:

Hope this helps!
