Tape drive going offline
Hi all,
Hoping you can help me.
We have a server with an HP tape drive that randomly goes offline and only comes back online once we restart the server, occasionally we'll need to re-seat the scsi cables to bring it back online.
Tape drive driver version: Symantec 23/01/2008 - 5.1.37.0
Firmware:G54D
Product ID: Ultrium 3-SCSI
Windows 2003 Enterprise SP2 (32b)
Backup Exec 12.5 SP3 with all updates installed.
Controller: E200
Firmware: 1.84
Please let me know if there is more information I can provide.
Any help much appreciated.

Which one? What controller is the tape drive connected? The E200 does not support tape drives.
> occasionally we'll need to re-seat the scsi cables
cable or cables? Maybe you should try another cable. Also having the latest firmware across the board and latest scsi/tape drivers helps.
