Tape status BAD after every backup
Hey,
Since one mounts, all my status tapes become "bad" after every backup. Moreover, the protection become "Expired". I have to format them to revert the status in "Good" and no protection. If I don't do that, then next backup failed cause of bad status.
I have clean with the cleaning cartridge but it solve nothing. I have made no changes in my job.
Somebody can help me please ?
Thanks you

Re: Tape status BAD after every backup
What type of tape drive do you have? What backup product do you use?
How new are the tapes?

I had the same problem in the past.

Re: Tape status BAD after every backup
hi,
if you can give us more info about the Tape product you are talking about, we can help on it. Other possible way is to run HP Library & Tape tools application on the host where this tape is connected, run a Drive assesment test, collect a support ticket and attatch it here so we can give a definite answer.
