Tapes show up smaller than 102 GB after format?
I've started to clean up my tape library some and have noticed that some tapes are coming in at strange sizes after format, such as 60 gig, 70 gig, 59 gig, etc. etc. The rest come in at the standard 102 gig. These are all LTO-1. Any ideas why this might happen? Running DP 5.5 on HP-UX.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Tapes show up smaller than 102 GB after format?
Hi Imrichar,
HP all ways recommended Tape format 2:1 size. If Ur tape size 100GB it useable size is 50GB.
BTW, U follow this way format Ur tape then see what is status?
Thanks--Yaqub

Re: Tapes show up smaller than 102 GB after format?
Hi imrichar,
You are using LTO-1 100GB
SO format the tape with 51200 MB.
Thanks & Regards
Aashique
