Hello Reuven,
Please upgrade the firmware of the drive through Library and Tape Tools as the firmware is from 2004
"Firmware rev N27D is up-to-date for Ultrium 1-SCSI as of Fri May 14 19:00:00 2004"

Please check the cabling from the server to the drive. Is the drive on its own HBA?

Thanks for responding.
The Tape Firmware is Firmware rev N27D is up-to-date for Ultrium 1-SCSI as of Fri May 14 19:00:00 2004.There no newer Firmware on HP web. I did upgrade firware with L&TT.
The tape working well anp passed the L&TT diagnostics no problem.
In spite of that - occasionally Backup failed.
cable and HBA replaced and with another tape it's not occurring.
