Extend Primary Volume size - effect on remote copy volume?

Hi there

I extended the size of a Primary Volume from 500GB to 750GB. How will this effect the Remote Volume which snapshots are copied to? In the GUI the remote volume is still 500GB. Will i need to delete the remote volume and setup another fresh remote copy schedule?

SAN/IQ is version 9.5 on both nodes.

Thanks

Norman

If you are using remote snapshots, the remote volume will be thin provisioned. It will not burst up to the 750GB when you grow the primary, instead it will match the used space. (But it will max up to whatever the volume size is that you set on the primary. There is nothing you need to do on the remote side.)
