Banner on HP Procurve 4100gl switches
Please help. We have HP Procurve 4100gl Switches with IOS G.07.93 but they do not support the “banner motd “ command,
Is there another way of configuring the security banner?

Re: Banner on HP Procurve 4100gl switches
Looked through the manual for other commands (http://www.hp.com/rnd/pdfs/CLI_reference.pdf) but nothing is visible there.
Maybe it's possible to get this done through another program? Like if you have profiles setup for each switch, then maybe you can setup a warning while connecting to it in that program?

Re: Banner on HP Procurve 4100gl switches
Thanks you for the work around.
May you please advise of such a program which could be used to achieve this?
Another problem about this is that a would be attacker may not have access to this program and not see the security banner.
