C-CLASS Catalyst 3020

I've got a certainly "bizarre" question : Can I connect an external device (e.g. DL380G5) directly to a Catalyst 3020 Switch plugged in a C-Class Enclosure without configuring anything with the Cisco IOS ?

as with most "unconfigured" switches (out-of the box) all port will reside in the default-vlan (vlan1).
So all ports will be able to communicate (on Level-2).
The external ports on the 3020 will mostly be used as uplink to the rest of the network, but no thechnical barrier exists to connect a end-node device (host)
