I cant find the command to free up expired ip addresses in a switch dhcp pool ?
Anyone have an idea please ?

Is it a comware switch, which you are looking for the command. You may try the below command.
<H3C>reset dhcp server expired ?
ip Specify an IP address
pool Specify a DHCP pool
vpn-instance Specify a VPN instance
<cr>
<H3C>reset dhcp server expired pool
<H3C>reset dhcp server expired pool ?
STRING<1-63> DHCP pool name
