Error on HP2900-24G

Hi All,

Got a couple of HP 2900-24G's with the T.13.09 firmware on them.
One is the commander of the stack the other is a member. When i try to access the member from the commander I get the following error:

ERROR --- telnet failed (error=0x36)

or

telnet error 54

Does anyone know what is causing this? I've tried removing and re-adding the switch to the stack to no avail.

Thanks - Mark

Sounds like a bug, I'll try it out later myself. My recommendation would be to not use stacking unless you're really that hard pressed for spare IP addresses.

Re: Error on HP2900-24G

Just to add.. this is only when accessing one member of the stack not the other one that i have in this particular stack, although the one that works is running an older firmware version.
I only really use stacks as an emergency measure so don't rely on them hugely.

Hi All,

We are facing the same issue : telnet error 54.

Did anyone find a workaround ?

Thanks,

Arnaud.
