How many port should i configure as sniffer in 5412zl switch

Hi,

We have veriant recording server in our network,this server should be connected to switch port.we have to configure this switch port as sniffer port.

can any one tel me in 5412zl switch how many ports we can configure as sniffer.

On the ProVision ASIC family (3500,5400,6200,6600,8200) you can have 4 ports for "analyzers" called "mirror sessions", and 32 "monitor sessions" for "traffic of interest"...this includes capability for mix of local and remote mirror/monitor.

(monitor session is what you want to capture, mirror session is where you send the capture to)
