How to get information about the mini-gbic module in 5308xl
Hi,
I've got a 5408xl switch and it has 8 mini-gbics installed on it. (on 4 port xl modules).
I can list the product number of the modules ie j4821A etc. However, I can't get the information about installed mini-gbic in it.
Sure I can hot remove the mini-gbic to see product number, but I can't interrupt the network traffic on that links so I need to see that product number logically.
Is there any way to do so?
Why I need that? Because I'm about to purchase a 5412zl and would like to know if I can go with the old mini-gbics (only revision B and C is supported on new 5412zl modules) or I should buy new gbics just because I'm upgrading my switch.
Kind regards,

"show module detail" should show transceiver information.
