J4903A ProCurve Switch 2824
We use an J4903A ProCurve Switch 2824.
I connect to it with telnet.
If I write "show snmp-server" it writes this:
"
Community Name MIB View Write Access
---------------- -------- ------------
public Manager Unrestricted
private Manager Restricted
Trap Receivers
Link-Change Traps Enabled on Ports [All] : All
Send Authentication Traps [No] : No
Address Community Events Sent in Trap
---------------------- ---------------- -------------------"
If I tell him "snmp-server", it writes:
"Invalid input: snmp-server"
What is the problem?
And where can I find "hpswitchauth.mib"?

You aren't in config mode.
And where can I find "hpswitchauth.mib"?

Re: J4903A ProCurve Switch 2824
Yes, I also discovered. I must write "configure" and I must hit enter and voilá! :)))
I also found that link, but there is a lot of universal mibs. I thougth there is a special mib for this device.
I worked also with Moxa switches. There were special mib for that switchtype and it contains only OIDs ans traps, what the switch "knows".
