PCM exports - s/n missing
Hello,
i have a PCM most current version running with approx 1200 devices - different switches and APs (only HP 530). When I do a devices export, switches are exported with their s/n, however APs are missing this information. I need to do an inventory list into another sys and thus I need the s/n. Anybody knowing of a way (maybe directly link to the database) of getting this out of PCM?
Thanks in advance.
Steffen

Re: PCM exports - s/n missing
Strangely enough it appears that there is no way to retrieve the serial number on a 530 via SNMP. I've walked the AP and it's definitely not showing up (WA.02.10).
Best workaround I can think of at the moment is to run the CLI Wizard in PCM and to run a 'show sys' on each AP and output it to a file.

Re: PCM exports - s/n missing
thanks a lot.
I also just found out that I cannot get it with snmp... ;-(
I now use ssh and expect and redirect b/c PCM needs a lot of time accomplishing this with some hundred devices...
