I use Procurve Network Manager Plus v3.
Lately, when I have a site or device go down, it is taking PCM a half hour before it shows a
yellow caution icon, and then an hour before it goes to a red icon and issues an email of "device unreachable."
I need to know sooner than an hour that a site or device has gone down. I have been looking through the menus, reading help and searching. Can anyone assist or explain?
Thanks much!

Solution
Hello,
you have to decrease the polling interval, which is set to 30 minutes by default.
To modify the interval:
- Open the Agent Manager
- Go to the "Discovery" tab
- Go to the "General" tab
- Decrease the value for "Device Status Polling interval"
see http://cdn.procurve.com/training/Manuals/PCM-AdminGuide-Jan2010-5990-8850.pdf

Cheers,
Michael
