Setting up a VLAN on more than one 2524/2824/2626
I am looking to setup a VLAN to hang Wireless Access Points off of. The goal is to allow public access to the WiFi while keep their traffic to themselves.
I have 5 buildings that are connected via fiber through either 2524, 2626, or 2824-PWR model switches. I have a router that is already configured for a different IP range than my network. I am even using a completely separate internet connection on that router. Behind the router that is going to be dedicated to WiFi use, is a firewall. I want to plug that firewall into this VLAN and then have the access points use it for outside access.
How would I setup a VLAN so that it can talk to other switches in other buildings where I'll have access points?

Re: Setting up a VLAN on more than one 2524/2824/2626
Hi
Since these switches are connected to your Firewall, then ...
I suggest you make the firewall a router also, so you connect it to this Vlan, and make a a static route to the outside world.
The advantage here is, you can control the traffic To/From this Vlan based on your security policy.
Good Luck !!!
