Src: 00:00:00:00:00:00 and Dst: 00:00:00:00:00:00, filter on ProCurve 2800?
Hi,
Not a ProCurve problem at all but hopefully someone might have seen and fixed this.
Have HP2810-48G and HP2910al-48G ProCurves installed. Clients Lenovos and Dells running Windows 7 with Broadcom 57XX Gigabit Intergrated Controllers. NIC driver was running 10.100.40, upgraded to 14.2.0.5a.
Problem, seeing src and dst enet of all zeros from these PCs?
Ethernet II, Src: 00:00:00:00:00:00 (00:00:00:00:00:00), Dst: 00:00:00:00:00:00 (00:00:00:00:00:00)
Destination: 00:00:00:00:00:00 (00:00:00:00:00:00)
Address: 00:00:00:00:00:00 (00:00:00:00:00:00)
These end up at are core Cisco and are dropped;
Input queue: 0/75/4517/0 (size/max/drops/flushes)
Anyone else seen these all zero enet and a way to fix? I'd be happy to filter at the ProCurve but unable since enet 00:00:00:00:00:00 is invalid.
(config)# lockout-mac 00:00:00:00:00:00
Value lockout-mac is invalid.
I think it is related to hibernation or WOL for the Broadcom NICs but haven't found the fix yet.
Anyway to work around a lockout-mac or filter to drop these zeros at the layer two switch?
thanks!
jim
