Hi,
I have an 2848 HP Switch in my Datacenter and got plenty of crash problems with firmware I.07.31. Since, I have upgraded to Firmware I.07.60 and Rom version I.08.02, I have been able to go one time to the Web console before it freezed, and now not anymore.
Also the console is blocked as well the Telnet Session after doing a "Web-management plaintext" command using CLI.
I have seen similar errors posted in forum with previous firmware I.07.56.
Should I reload the firmware, or is this bug still occuring with this version ? is there a new firmware or a parameter to configure ?
Of course I can only reboot the switch at night, it is a datacenter 24/24h.
Really disapointed with HP on that Matter.
Stephan

Hi Stephan,
I had the same problem and after talking to HP support, (very friendly guy's). Explained how/what and why. The sollution is:
You need to downgrade to I.07.56.
The I.07.56 firmware from the web, contains a fix regarding the HTTP hangs. But is was by misstake not implemented in the I.07.60 firmware (latest on the web).
I was told it had something to do with a mix-up in different builds of the I.07.56 firmware.
The fix is also being corrected in the firmware (I.07.6X) yet to be released.
Regards,
SCOOTER
