Our dba is trying to use df command (I know bdf exists, but he does not want to use it), and with dome FS the df command output is this one:
df: cannot determine file system statistics
I have discovered that this happens in FS that are inside a VG version 2.1 (the output for the parent directory is the right one, but all the subdirectories are the one I just showed), but this does not happen witth FS that are inside VG version 1.0
I havem't found any note on HP about this or any note in the Web. Any clues about this?
Thanks to all.

I will have to try something else.
If you have support agreement with HP, please lodge a case.

Re: 11.31 with VG 2.1 and df command
#show_patches |grep -i 23318
PHCO_23118 may solve your tricky.
In addition check for below points:
1. Inconsistent fileystem requiring fsck(1m).
2. Process with open file which does not exist in filesystem.
3. Mount point directory contains data.

Re: 11.31 with VG 2.1 and df command
Vel-UX, this is HP-UX 11.31. Moreover, he has superceded patch version of the above already installed the system ( i.e. PHCO_41152 ).

Re: 11.31 with VG 2.1 and df command
I will try the fsck later on with the server as I have another issue now with Data Protector involving a Oracle backup specification in this server.
This is happening in a set of four cluster Oracle RAC servers running all HP-UX 11.31 at the same patch level.
There are no precesses that are running on files that are not present on the system.

Re: 11.31 with VG 2.1 and df command
They are working in order to solve this issue with the df command, and we have two choises.
We can wait till the new patch is released, or we can uninstall de patch.
Anyway, thanks for all your help in this, again
