Anyone want to share Cronjob that does system checks?

Is there anybody out here willing to share any sort of cron script that runs maybe once a day that reports out various areas like failed root login attempts, EMS alerts, full file systems....etc?

Looking for something for both HPUX and RedHat Linux where various "admin" checking can be done via cron and emailed results to support team members.  I did this over a decade ago for another company but hoping maybe someone has something I can use or work from without re-inventing the wheel.
