Re: BDF command hung
This would suggest a stale NFS mount.
Regards!

Re: BDF command hung
My guess would be that you have an NFS mount that is not responding for some reason.
I would check all NFS mounts and verify they are all working.

Re: BDF command hung
Any chance you can post the contents of the /etc/fstab file and the output of the 'mount' command?
Are you using the automounter?
Do you use /net mounts?

Re: BDF command hung
have any changes done on the system so after that this problem started?
please check the log files for any error or event log and put /etc/fstab output for better analysis.
if you any old bdf output captured then it will help to understand the problem.

Re: BDF command hung
check which file system its hung...you can see it in fstab
(filesystsem listing is same as in fstab untill and unless its changed earlier).
Then see /etc/mnttab file.
First check which file system is the troubled one then concentrate on that FS.

Re: BDF command hung
You say, when you issue;
# bdf -l
it got stuck again ? if so,
check the system logs OR root mails ,
# less /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
# less /var/mail/root
