at named.conf from BIND 9 ?

should I set active for my internal DNS server
(DDNS) with non internet domain ?

Hello Chris,

Bind sends a NXDOMAIN response in case the domain referenced in the the query does not exist.

If auth-nxdomain is set to yes, the answer will be marked as "authoritative", if set to no, then it will not be marked as "authoritative".

I think for an internal DNS "no" should be ok.
