CD Rom Not Detecting

DVD is not detecting in my rx 2600 server with RHEL 4 update 5
But i am able to boot through the CD
/Dev is not showing any cdrom or scd0 device file

The cdrom device should be an IDE device. The special file should be /dev/hd*.

Check in the output of the dmesg command.
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

it is rx2660 server , dmesg showing CD-ROM but not showing any device file
