Centos and HPSMH
Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to install the HPSMH (hpsmh-2.1.15-210.i386.rpm ) on Centos 5.2? I keep getting an error unsupported operating system.
Thanks.

Re: Centos and HPSMH
You probably need to modify /etc/redhat-release to look like a RHEL5 system and then put it back after you install and configure all the hpasm stuff.

Re: Centos and HPSMH
Shalom,
Probably, the installation is checking /etc/redhat-release and failing.
Though Centos has the same source as Red Hat, you are asking a support question. HP is probably going to tell you the OS is not supported, even if you do the change to redhat-release file.
IF the install works and all functionality is present, you probably do not care about the lack of support.
If being able to call HP response center and get support is important to you then you might in this instance want to go with genuine red hat OS.
