CPU compatibility

Hi all

Is it possible to move CPU and memory between two rx8640.We have resouce issues with one of those servers hence planning to move CPU and memmory from other server which is idle.

Re: CPU compatibility

on the face of it, they look like the same processor type, albeit reported differently by different versions of machinfo. They both look like Montecito 1.6GHz/24MB Dual Core systems (i.e. Itanium 9050).

It would probably be best to confirm this by running the "DF" command from the MP command menu and comparing. Here's an example from one of my systems (not a rx8640):

MP:CM> df -s

DF -s
