Custom Software for gather cpu & memory usage

hi all,

anyone know how to make software to gather cpu and memory usage in unix?
like OVO but agentless.

Why do you want to reinvent the wheel ? If your only concern is with the licensing fees HP charges, you can go with some open source alternative like Nagios (just google the name if you are unfamiliar). If you want to write something like that as a pet project, I think most of the source code for Nagios is also out there. You can download and examine that code to give you how it is done.

Did you try Prospect ?

Prospect is available on HP-UX (PA-RISC 64-bit kernel).

Go with NAGIOS.

An increasing number of HP Tools are becoming bundled with NAGIOS. I believe HP-UX InternetExpress may already be bundled with NAGIOS.... check it out.

Are you running a currently supported version of HP-UX (11.11 or later)? If so, look at SMH and the larger components like SFM and SIM:
