Maybe the poor little P411 is not powerful enough to serve a heavy load. A "real" disk array would do a better job.

 

However, if you need more disk space with the current setup, consider to connect another D2600 to a new P411 at least.

We are going for MSA 2040 , since MSA 1040 doesnt support HPUX .

IMHO a good choice. I would recommend FC SFPs. Make sure it is running firmware GL200 for much more features.
