Hi Gurus,
There is a issue with the system date on SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 (i586)server.
Whenever i try to sink my date with ntp server the date gets updated, but after a few seconds the date gets changed to 30 days ahead.
Not able to figure out the exact issue.
Can anyone please help me.
Note: I also disabled the ntp and set the date locally. But no help:(
This server is running on a VM. The issue started after the reboot of the server.
Thanks

Solution
Shalom,
Check that the bios date on the vm host is correct. This can get through and interfere with normal date operations.
ntp is clearly not the cause here.

Re: Date issue on Suse Linux on VM
The issue was the ESX server. I have sinked the ESX server date with ntp server.
