Does HP Support North Bound Integration

We want to forward alarms to another server using North bound integration. Does HP support North Bound Integration? If yes, what interfaces or protocols are used (SNMP, CORBA, etc.)?

Our equipment is Agilent (now JDSU).

Looks like NNMi is used for troubleshooting network problems.

What we want to do is just to forward hardware and Operating System alarms form the HP servers to a common OSS Server which monitors these alarms.

Re: Does HP Support North Bound Integration

SNMP is standard on HP-UX. Setup and testing can be quite a challenge as most of the documentation is based on OpenView and other integration products like SIM. You can get the Net-SNMP tools package here:

We will be using SNMP forwarding.
