gfs - /dev/mapper block files ??

We are running Red Hat 5.3 in a 2 node Cluster with GFS file systems...

I've created a new gfs file system on the primary node, now how do I get the 2nd node to pick up these changes and create the /dev/mapper/???? device files for these new file systems so that I can mount them on the 2nd server ???

Re: gfs - /dev/mapper block files ??

Run "vgscan" to make the 2nd node detect the VG(s).

The /dev/mapper/* devices are created automatically when the VG is activated. They will also be removed automatically on each node when the VG is deactivated.

vgscan shows following... but do I need to do a vgchange to create the new /dev/mapper devices ?? new devices are datavg-lvol20 & lvol21

[root@ntpcdb2 ~]# vgscan
Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while...
Found volume group "datavg" using metadata type lvm2
Found volume group "VolGroup00" using metadata type lvm2
