Hi All,
I need some help as it's been a while since I've done HP-UX administration. I have a failing mirrored system disk., "LVM: Failed to automatically resync PV 1f022000 error: 5" (/dev/dsk/c2t2d0). It had been a while since the last make_recovery so I am running:
make_recovery -CAvid /dev/rmt/0mn
That should give me a way to recover should the working disk start to cause a problem, correct ? The second issue is I need the system up an running as efficiently as possible before the disk arrives. What is the procedure to remove a bad disk from a mirrored pair ?
Just a little more not so relevant information. Of course, I am out of town on vacation. To make matters worse, they decided to do an unannounced cost roll on databases stored on this system which is in progress and why I need a functioning system as soon as possible. They also did an unannounced electrical system test where this server is located this past weekend forcing a shutdown and probaby causing the disk problem.
Solved! Go to Solution.
