How to check unpartioned free space on disk?

Hi,

How to check unpartioned free space on disk? When i create new partition using fdisk , how i can come to know how much is unpartitioned free space on disk?
I have red hat linux 5.

"fdisk -l" will list total size of the disk and the size of each partition. Just subtract the sizes of all existing partitions from the total size and see what's left.

Yes, We can do that but we have to do add/substraction .. some manual calculation and some time may go in wrong way...
So i was just looking for something which will give me direct unpartitioned free space..
One more thing.. If you have lots of partitions , then manual calculation is risky
..
Hoping for another solution...

Hi Rahul,

Use the tool "parted"

#parted

and then type "print free"
