HP BL20p RH EL 3 boot from .ELsmp NIC could not activate
Hi
I have two servers, HP BL20p, RH ES 3 update 4, NetXtreme BCM5703 Gigabit Ethernet NIC.
Boot from boot kernel 2.4.21-27.ELsmp, NIC could not be activated, I have tried so many ways. Those two server could boot up through 2.4.21-27.EL and every thing are okay except CPU and Memory show and run half resource. Startup server system could detect 8G memory and 2 physical CPU but in boot from .EL then just show 4G and one CPU via command # free and # cat /proc/cpuinfo. Boot Kernel details are as follows:
Does the boot kernel ELsmp has some problem? How to fix it.
Do I need rebuild boot kernel of ELsmp? If so, How to do that?
Thanks a lot, any answers will be very appreciate.

kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.21-27.ELsmp ro root=/dev/vg00/lv00
