HP-UX and Tru64 leap second handling

Does anyone have information on how HP-UX and Tru64 handle the leap seconds.  There is going to be a leap second added 30 June 2012 and need to ensure our systems are compliant.  Also, if anyone has a statement on how NTP utilizes the "-x" option to accommodate the leap second.

There is no such things as leap seconds for HP-UX.  They are provided for in the struct tm but they aren't used nor added.

If NTP handles it, there will be a lost one second jump on June 30.

So, does NTP handle the leap second?  Is there something in /etc/ntp.conf that deals with leap second when running on HP-UX?

My thinking is that when the leap seconds are added to the master time servers, whatever they may be, then that change will filter down the line since all clocks will then be out of sync.  Basically it should be viewed just as if the clock was 1 second off in time.
