Been getting this error whenever I try to go to https://:2381/
[Wed Apr 13 13:22:23 2011] [error] [client 10.9.28.191] (13)Permission denied: access to / denied
It is configured the same as on another host that works, far as I can tell. I just downloaded hpsmh-6.3.0-22.i386.rpm and upgraded, same issues. Tried rpm -e hpsmh then reinstalling, same issues.
In the hpsmh config utility, I verified that there is no IP binding. Likewise, the directory tree with the files is owned by the user hpsmh
Any ideas why I can't even load the page to login? No selinux running, no iptables rule either to prevent accessing the directory.
Firing up a browser on the host itself, the page still errors out.
It's this way for 2 of 3 of my supposedly identical servers (dl380g4)

Solution
I've seen far too many times an "oopsie" chmod command leaving only root with access to /. My guess is that any non-root process could be impacted here.
Run 'ls -ld /' and check the permissions at the root of the system. Compare to the working systems.

Re: hpsmh- You don't have permission to access / on this server.
