Input errors(ierrs) on lan0
Hello,
at lan0 we are having high input errors.
How can we clear this input errors?
In lanadmin utility can we clear = Clear statistics registers
will it impact on lan0 network settings/configuration?
As this is a production i dont want anything to get impacted if i cleat statistics registers.

Re: Input errors(ierrs) on lan0
Hi:
No problem
lanscan
Hardware Station Crd Hdw Net-Interface NM MAC HP-DLPI DLPI
Path Address In# State NamePPA ID Type Support Mjr#
0/0/0/0 0x00306E0CFC53 0 UP lan0 snap0 1 ETHER Yes 119
0/6/0/0 0x00306E0C95DD 1 UP lan1 snap1 2 ETHER Yes 119
lanadmin --> lan
LAN Interface test mode. LAN Interface PPA Number = 0 <-- Card instance of lanscan command
To change, you can use ppa command
clear
Clearing LAN Interface statistics registers.
quit

The lanadmin, lanscan, and linkloop commands are deprecated. These commands will be
removed in a future HP-UX release. HP recommends the use of replacement command nwmgr(1M) to
perform all network interface-related tasks.
