Insight Diags on HP-KVM switch - no mouse operation

I have a large number of DL140g3 servers in XC cluster. We have an 8-port kvm switch + console and if we need to run diags on a node, we have to plug in a KVM to UTP adaptor on the node & connect to the KVM switch with a suitably long CAT5 cable.

This works fine except when running Insight diags. In which case the mouse does not work and you cannot easily use the diags.

If on the other hand we simply reboot the machine with a Linux "Live-CD" eg Centos or INSERT or Knoppix, the mouse works OK

Anyone seen this or know a workaround? Les Oswald

No need of a reboot, just plug out the mouse connector and plug it back in!
